Changes to Service Times from January 2012 Principal Services: Following the recent congregation survey, All Saints Kenley (ASK) expressed a preference for the 9.15am service and St Barnabas Purley (STB) for a 10.45am service. This will come into effect on 1st January 2012. Where there are five Sundays in a month, there will be a joint Benefice Service at one church or the other, at that church's normal service time. For example, on Sunday 29th January, the Benefice Service will be at STB at 10.45; there will be no 9.15 service at ASK. We will also join together for the two Patronal Festivals, at the host church's normal service time. ● ● ● ● The 8am services will be held on the first and third Sundays at STB and on the second and fourth Sundays at ASK. If there is a fifth Sunday, the 8am service will be held at the church that is NOT hosting the joint Benefice Service. For example, on Sunday 29th January, the 8am service will be at ASK. Note there will be no 8am service at either church on New Year's Day. ● ● ● ● Midweek services of Holy Communion will alternate between ASK and STB. At ASK, the service will be on Wednesdays at 10am; at STB the service will be at 11.30am on Thursdays. The first midweek service of 2012 will be on Thursday 5th January at STB. |
